Output Servers

In this article, you will find the essential information you need for understanding the output servers in Rapid.

Output servers provide the method to share information across multiple stations in your Rapid.

HOME | Overview

In your Rapid, on “HOME | Overview”, consider your navigation menu and your stations.

In the navigation menu, select “SERVER | Output Servers".

On your first run of your Rapid, the Output Servers page will be empty: but consider the given examples of servers.

When you select a server from the list on the left, you will see the outputs that are using the server’s services on the right.

Servers provide the method to share information across multiple stations in your Rapid.

Adding an Output Server

While viewing the Output Servers, select the blue button named (+ Add Server) and consider the dialog named Add Server.

From the dialog named Add Server, select one of the types of servers.

Add the Server | Amazon S3

When Amazon S3 is selected as a new server for your Rapid, consider the dialog named Add Amazon S3 Server.

Key in the details for your Amazon S3 Server.

Add the Server | HD Importer

When HD Importer is selected as a new server for your Rapid, consider the dialog named Add HD Importer Server.

Key in the details for your HD Importer Server.

Adding an Output to a Server

As you add servers to your Output Servers, you will have methods to share information across multiple stations in your Rapid.

Select a Radio Station

As a first step in adding an output to a server of interest, select a radio station and consider the list of outputs in the station dashboard.

Add a Destination for the Output

For the chosen output, select the blue button named (+ Add Destination) and observe the dialog named “Add HD Radio Destination”.

Select HD Importer as the destination for the chosen output.

Configure the Destination for the Output

In the dialog named “Add HD Importer Destination”, key in the details.

As you key in the details for the destination, you will need to select the Edit button in the field named Server.

Connect the Output to the Server

Select the button named “Edit” in the field named Server and observe the dialog named “Find Server”.

Select a server.

In this example, the server that was selected was “my HD Importer Server”.

Confirm the selections and details for your chosen server.

Select Save.

Returning to the Station Dashboard

In this example, the destination is now evident for the output of interest.

Return to the Output Servers.

From the navigation panel in your Rapid, return to the Output Servers and select your server of interest.

In this example, there is one output using the server named “my HD Importer Server”.

Editing a Server

While viewing the Output Servers, select one of the servers from the list on the left.

For the selected server, there are options for editing:

  • Select the Edit option from the overflow menu (vertical ellipsis), or
  • Select the Edit button

Either option will present the dialog named Edit Server.

While reviewing the details in the dialog named Edit Server, make your changes for your server in Rapid.

Select Save.
