Logs

In this article, you will find the essential information you need for understanding the logs in Rapid.

Logs serve as a record of what was received and what was published by Rapid.
Log pages in Rapid are used to find faults in the system.

System Logs: covering the Rapid installation, this page showcases activity for events in the system (time, level, context, summary)

  • A user would use these logs if detailed information was required about system events and activity
    • For example, to review what data was received from a third-party system, or to check the communication events between Rapid and a third-party system

Broadcast Logs: specific to the station that you select, this page showcases content that was published to the individual outputs on the chosen station

  • A user would use these logs to check when content was published to a platform (destination) and what content was published (summary)
  • To view the logs for a different station, change the station in the station picker.

Playout Logs: specific to the station that you select, this page showcases items that were played by the automation system on the chosen station

  • A user would use these logs to check what items were received from an automation system (song, spot, link, etc.) and when the items were received
  • To view the logs for a different station, change the station in the station picker.

User Logs: covering the Rapid installation, this page showcases the changes that individual users have made to the content in the system (time, user, action, changes)

  • A user would use these logs to identify which Rapid user made changes within the system, and what changes were made
