Adding Stations to Rapid

In this article, you will find the essential information you need for adding, editing, and removing stations in your installation of Rapid.

In this article, you will learn how to manage stations in Rapid.

In this article, you will also learn how to manage station groups in Rapid.

  • Station Groups allow you to manage stations together
  • Station Groups can be used to manage Sources, Messages, and Schedules across a collection of stations

Sources in a Station Group

  • If a source is added to a Station Group, then that source is available for use by any station within that group.

Messages in a Station Group

  • If a message is added to a Station Group, then that message will be setup for all stations in that group: consequently, you would save time by not having to setup individual stations with the message of interest.
  • Another benefit: if you remove a station from the Station Group, then the message that is applicable to the group will automatically be removed from that station’s setup.

Add a Station

Beginning with your first run of Rapid, add a first station to your installation of Rapid by selecting the blue button --- (+ Station) --- on the “Home” page that showcases the greeting: “Welcome to Rapid”.
